Last Concert at Steinway Hall on 57 th...a Rousing Recital with Paul
My Day with Amy's book warming on Saturday Evening melted perfectly like our Fondue into Marbled perfection of Steinway Hall on 57th Street.
There is where friend and artist
Paul Morin gave a vivid and moving Recital beginning with his album's Piano work then included a magical impressionist and romantic middle passage of Debussy and Chopin, to finish the Evening with startling passages of his new Compositions which he played for us for the first time with passion and depth to a rapt audience...
Though all this signaled the last concert to be played in this Hallowed Hall, the Recital also ironically heralded a worthwhile non-profit cause, namely the New Destiny Housing which creates new long-term housing for victims of Domestic Violence.
I have fond memories of visiting Steinway Hall over the years and making use of their generosity in letting artists try out their range of pianos...I will miss the Sounds of this Music Hall
Bravo to a brilliant evening!
