The Freedom Tower - On the Way to Brooklyn Museum May 4th 2013 - Suicidal Jumper Closes the Brooklyn Bridge - Detours - Orienting Ourselves in Chinatown
On Our Way to the Brooklyn Museum.
Snapping Photographs on the Way.
My First Live Sighting of the Freedom Tower with Spire Crowning its 1776 Feet from the FDR.
We didn't make it to the Brooklyn Museum's Target Saturdays as the Brooklyn Bridge was Closed and the Snarl of Traffic and Activity was Heavy.
I Googled to find out Why oh Why such Wild Density around Us.
I Discovered that there was a Poor Man - Suicidal - atop one the Brooklyn Bridge's 276 foot Tower
at the Time the Very Bridge Tower I had just Photographed
was threatening to Jump!

Wryly On the Suicidal Jumper...other Detours
Thankfully, with the Help of our First Responders and Compassion
the Desperate Jumper to Be was Taken into Custody...
Safe and Sound.
He Should Know that Despite the Horror that Led him to Climb that Bridge in Despair and Finality...
there are Better Days ahead if you Reach out and Grab Them...with a Little Help From Some Friends.
A Special Prayer for You.
and All others Driven So Close to Despair...
Don't Look into that Abyss...but rather Look Up and About and Reach out for a Helping Hand.
It Turned Out to Be Beautiful Day...Chinatown, Little Italy, Soho. Noho...
A Long and Magical Walk in New York then
Home
Thank God for the Detours.
