We caught the Waves of Crowds
Coming Down 86th Street


 I Followed a Pied Bag Piper Down
the Avenue




...On the way...we bumped into Peter The Poet an Old Acquaintance Not Soon Forgot

Three Year Hence with Drunk Driver's Wayward Swerve
 on 81rst Street

Michael Died Three Years Hence
...But Spirit is Eternal

I remember him on This St. Patty's Day
A Magical Leprechaun
with the Heart of Gold
and Twinkle in his Widest Wonder Blue Eyes

.....Who brought Everyone he met for one
Feverish Joy, 
a Baudy Poem or Limerick for Two
 a Dirge or Song for Three
or a Sandwich for Four

...as he with Ardor Felt everyone needed to Eat
properly Before Digesting the Finer Art of Things
Great and Small

with his his Bag of Threats
